Antique 9ct yellow gold pendant and brooch. The necklace features a Swallow bird, flower and leaf set with seed pearls and amethyst gemstones. This piece can be worn as a necklace or a brooch. The pendant has a number of marks indicating it was hallmarked in 1919 in Chester, England.
Seed pearls in the Victorian era were associated with a number of symbols such as innocence, purity, humility and harmony. Amethyst is the birthstone of February.
